The first arrival in the “Tozzi family”, Mafà, is a particular interpretation of Ormeasco rosé. The first bottles, the first vintage, a successful experiment, was 2021. We tasted it for the first time directly from the barrel and were pleasantly surprised, we did not expect it.

Today, the 2024 vintage is a rosé slightly less intense than the first release, but with plenty of fruit, a beautiful mineral backbone, crisp and refreshing, a wine that makes you want another glass. Best served chilled, ideal for an aperitif, pasta dishes, but also with fish.

The Story of the Tozzi Family aka Vis Amoris:

The love for a harsh yet generous land; a dream that once seemed like a challenge: to produce a special wine from a special territory that could express its colors, flavors, aromas, and emotions. Pigato and its expressions are used to highlight its qualities and versatility.

A deliberate choice, a dream embraced with the strength and spirit of a family that decided to shape a life project, growing it with respect, expertise, and innovation. The Tozzi Family restored lands with an ancient winemaking vocation and manages them according to the strict principles of organic farming. In 2008, they built the winery where they vinify all their Pigato wines and, since this year, also Ormeasco wines.

A new project, a new name, but the same people and the same determination: for Vis Amoris, the focus has always been, and will always be, the Pigato grape variety, while “Fam. Tozzi” explores ideas and visions deeply rooted in the territory, also looking at other native grape varieties and their enhancement through experimentation. Many more innovations are to come.
