Rossese di Dolceacqua Superiore is made from Rossese grapes grown in Soldano, in the Poggio Pini vineyard, and in San Biagio della Cima, in the Luvaira vineyard, from the youngest vines (around 30 years old).

The vineyards are laid out on terraces with slopes reaching 60%, and all work is carried out by hand, with full respect for the soil and environment. Part of the grapes are not destemmed, fermentation takes place with selected indigenous yeasts, and skin contact lasts around 12 days.

The following 11 months of ageing take place in stainless steel tanks, and after bottling, the wine rests for a few more months in the cellar.

The Story of Tenuta Anfosso

Marisa and Alessandro began their journey into the world of wine in 2002, when they decided to enhance their family history.

In fact, as early as 1888, the Anfosso family owned the Poggio Pini vineyard, among the most important nomeranze (crus, in this part of Liguria) of Rossese.

Today they cultivate the vines with hard work and dedication. Their wine is born on cliffs between the sea and the mountains, on steep terraces supported by dry stone walls, where human effort is constant and mechanisation is absent.

It takes passion and love for such a demanding land - but what rewards it gives.
